Rise of the Dollar General
An overview of the rise of Dollar General stores. They are beating Walmart and Amazon in smalltown rural America. Amazon deliveries there are slow as they're outside major markets. They have very aggressive pricing and go to places where Walmart isn't willing/interested in going. Most of the food sold is processed and contributes to related modern health epidemics. People complain this creates "food deserts" where there is no fresh produce available for miles. They are opening 3 new stores a day currently.
