Eventually had to evict because of manipulation. House extremely damaged. “Did she think that all of the people she ran over would just roll over and die and forget about her? No. I recognize her face, (4) Klett, landlord/lawyer. No huge issues but had negative experience. Reade seems to have borrowed books and absconded with them. Reade contacted in 2019 to represent her. Klett declined because Reade seemed untrustworthy
“I felt two things when she contacted me: that she was feeling me out to see if I would represent her pro bono. And there was a sense that she was trying to plant a story with me, so she could later say: ‘I told the story to this attorney I worked with,’” Klett said.
