Piers Morgan and Alex Beresford debate Meghan Markel on GMB
According to Piers Morgan, Meghan Markle made two accusations of racism in the royal family:
- She claims some high royal (one of the other Princes) made comments and/or asked questions about the baby's skin color
- She claims the queen was denying the title of "Prince" to Meghan's baby
Piers Morgan argues the first accusation is vague and without context is uninterpretable.
He argues the second claim is factually incorrect based on how the queen traditionally hands out titles. Supposedly, there are some obscure protocols about if/when babies get titles, and based on those protocols Archie isn't eligible for a title yet.
A couple interesting things about the interview:
- Alex Beresford dismisses factual arguments because he says "her truth" is correct, and the facts around royal protocols don't matter
- In my opinion Piers Morgan came off looking much more reasonable, but mainstream media coverage is opposite
