India plans to ban bitcoin
India is planning to ban bitcoin. Unlike Chinese bans, this ban would include a ban on possession, with a 6 month grace period to liquidate assets.
This would be the first time a major country has banned bitcoin possession. The ban would apply to all crypto assets, presumably including altcoins, ethereum, NFTs, etc.
Bitcoin price is down 5% on the news.
